Returns Policy
At Bambooist, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality bamboo clothing along with exceptional customer service. Our Returns Policy has been designed to ensure a smooth experience, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law and our commitment to customer satisfaction.
1. Australian Consumer Law Rights
Under the Australian Consumer Law, our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. You are entitled to a replacement or a refund for a major failure, as well as compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Furthermore, if the goods fail to meet acceptable quality standards, you are entitled to have them repaired or replaced, provided that the failure does not amount to a major failure. For detailed information, please refer to the guidelines of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).
2. Change of Mind Returns
We recognise that sometimes you may reconsider a purchase. While we are not legally required to accept returns for change of mind, Bambooist offers the following policy as a gesture of goodwill:
To qualify for a return due to a change of mind, items must meet the following criteria:
- Returned within 30 days of the purchase date.
- Unworn, unwashed, and in original condition with all tags attached.
- Accompanied by the original receipt or proof of purchase.
If these conditions are met, you will receive an online store credit for the purchase price, excluding the shipping cost.
Bambooist does not provide refunds for change of mind returns.
The cost of return shipping will be borne by the customer.
3. Faulty or Defective Products
If you believe that your product is faulty or defective, please contact our friendly customer service team immediately and follow the instructions provided by the team. Upon assessing the item, if it is confirmed to be faulty, we offer the option of choosing between a refund, or replacement.
In cases where the product is verified as faulty, Bambooist will cover the cost of return shipping to the address the product was initially delivered.
4. Exclusions
The following items are not eligible for our change of mind return policy:
- Underwear and swimwear
- Items marked as Clearance
- e-Gift cards
These exclusions are enforced for hygiene reasons and due to the heavily discounted nature of final sale items.
5. Return Process
To initiate a return, please follow these steps:
- Contact Us: Get in touch with our customer service team at contact@bambooist.com.au with your order details and the reason for your return.
- Return Authorisation: Our team will provide you with a Return Authorisation Number (RAN) along with instructions on how to return the item.
- Shipping: Carefully package the item, ensuring that all original packaging and tags are included, and send it back to us using a tracked shipping method. For faulty items, please keep your shipping receipt for reimbursement.
- Processing: Once we receive the item, we will inspect it and process your refund, or online store credit within 10 business days.
6. Additional Information
- Proof of Purchase: A valid proof of purchase is required for all returns.
- Original Packaging: While original packaging is preferred, it is not mandatory for returns under consumer guarantees. However, the item must be in a resalable condition.
- Refund Method: Refunds will be processed using the original payment method. For instance, if you paid by credit card, the refund will be credited back to the same card.
